YAZIT is a browser extension that pastes your own text templates into web forms. It is designed to collect nothing and send nothing.
What we collect
Nothing. YAZIT has no account, no analytics, no telemetry, and makes no network requests. We never see your templates or your browsing.
Where your data lives
Your templates and settings are stored only in your browser's local extension storage (chrome.storage.local) on your own device. They are never synced or transmitted unless you explicitly export them to a file you control.
That storage is not encrypted. Anyone with file access to your browser profile — another user of the same account, a backup, or malware — can read your templates and any values you asked YAZIT to remember. Do not keep passwords or card numbers in a template on a shared device.
Permissions
- storage — save your templates locally.
- scripting — inject the content script on demand; no remote code is ever loaded.
- host access (all sites) — so you can paste into a form on whatever site you are using. The script is passive and makes no network requests.
Third parties
None. There are no third-party libraries bundled, no CDNs, and no remote services. You can verify this: every file is plain JavaScript and the source is public.
